The World’s Oldest Air freshner, Papier d’Armenie
Papier d’Armenie is the World’s oldest natural air freshener made in France.
In 1885, Chemist, Auguste Ponsot discovered the disinfectant ingredient of benzoin resin and it was finally made after he succeeded in researching liquefaction method of benzoin with Pharmacist, Henri Rivier.
Papier d’Armenie which can burn without flame was recognized for winning the recognition at international trade fairs in 1900, Paris and its valuable ingredients were introduced to public. Also, due to its affordability and convenience, it is exported to many countries around world, including the United Kingdom, under the name “Air Clean”
It has an environmental-conscious enterprise spirit and is made from natural ingredients for excellent air purification/sterilization and easy to use.

Benzoin is taken when the resin from the stem of the Benjamin tree becoming hard.
It has a little rubbery scent and a sweet scent of vanilla, which has been known to drive away evil spirits from ancient times, but today it is used to dispel anxiety. In perfumes area, it is used as a fixing agent for perfumery products.
